TULSA, OK - Don't let the brisk fall wind keep you indoors, get out and warm up by laughing with The Comedy Clinic - Tulsa's Comedy Troupe, on Saturday, November 8th, 2003, as these Medics of Madness present their 1st anniversary show "One Year Later, The Doctors are IN!” Showtime is 7:30 p.m. at Tulsa's finest Martini Lounge and Champagne Bar, The Suede, 3340 S. Peoria Ave.
Book an appointment with Brookside's Physicians of Fun, who will showcase decades of theater and comedy experience in their live show, which has been described as Saturday Night Live meets Whose Line is it Anyway. These hilarious ORIGINAL sketches will be followed by their hysterical improv games, which include audience participation. The Comedy Clinic gives fans a local flavor in their sketch comedy, the likes of which won't be seen on television or anywhere else in Tulsa!
These Doctors of Laughs will continue their second consecutive season at the Suede and, on this night, will celebrate the anniversary of their first show as The Comedy Clinic. However, this gang of Comedy Doctors are no stranger to the comedy and entertainment scene in Green Country. The Comedy Clinic will star local improv veterans and Clinic co-founders Ben Beckham, Maria Swindell and Jeff Turner. Antoine Wilson will also star with this trio in his second appearance with the Comedy Clinic.
Beckham, the Clinic director, has 17 years of improv, writing and directing experience in the Tulsa area. He co-founded two other local comedy troupes before establishing the Comedy Clinic last year with Swindell and Turner and has collaborated with Swindell, Wilson and Turner for a combined 24 years.
The Comedy Clinic also welcomes featured player and the voice of the Comedy Clinic, Marty Swindell to his third appearance. In addition, the Clinic is once again excited to announce the musical stylings of The Unexpected with Russ Becker and Todd Boaz. Tulsa's version of Weird Al Yankovic will open the night for the second consecutive show with two of their hysterical musical parodies.
