TULSA, OK - If the Holiday blues are getting you down, then it's time you fill your prescription for laughs, AGAIN, on December 7th as The Comedy Clinic - Tulsa's Comedy Troupe - wraps up the year with a brand new show, "Even Santa's Gotta Laugh!" Showtime is 7 p.m. at Tulsa's finest Martini Lounge and Champagne Bar, the Suede Lounge, 3340 S. Peoria Ave.
After a side splitting performance to a packed house at the Suede Lounge in November, The Comedy Clinic players bring their shtick back to Brookside the first Saturday in December to showcase decades of theater and comedy experience in their live show which has been described as Saturday Night Live meets Who's Line is it Anyway with a PG-13 slant.
These comedy doctors give audiences a local flavor in their sketch and bit comedy, the likes of which won't be seen on television or anywhere else in Tulsa! Audience participation is a must as the Clinic hilariously entertains patrons with their favorite improvisational games and ORIGINAL sketch material.
Clinic director, Ben Beckham, brings 15 years of improv, writing and directing experience to the troupe. He leads this flock of locally grown comedians into Tulsa's hottest night spot for fun, Brookside.
"Brookside was obviously ready for comedy after the response we received in November," said Beckham, a veteran Improv Comedy player in Tulsa. "The response was tremendous and we should expect the same in December."
Beckham is joined by other Improv veterans, Maria Swindell and Jeff Turner. Swindell's quick wit has been cut on the stage and theater, while Turner's writing and stage experience dates back to dozens of projects he developed with Beckham in the late 80s. Among the featured players is newcomer Scott Mocha. Mocha developed from the stage and later became a well-known dance club DJ. His Improv debut was in November.
Advance tickets are a co-pay of $7.50 or $10 at the door (no insurance necessary!). Advance tickets must be purchased by December 6th. Tickets are available for purchase online, as well, with Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. For individual or group ticket information, call 918-664-0414, or visit www.thecomedyclinic.com. The Comedy Clinic is available for private bookings, interviews and private consultations by calling the same number.
